ABOUT 5 DOLLAR CLUB

5 Dollar Club is a Columbus, Ohio-based rock band who writes and performs original music. They have performed at several Ohio venues including Skully’s Music-Diner, the Charleen & Charles Hinson Amphitheater, The Spacebar, Rumba Cafe, Ruby’s on Summit, Rambling House, the Smiling Skull Saloon, and more.

The band consists of 4 members who come from unique musical backgrounds. Our lead singer and pianist, Max, has been playing classical piano since he was four. He recently fell in love with the heavy and emotional sound of grunge rock. Evan has been playing classic rock drums for 15 years, but incorporates elements of jazz and Latin music into his playing at every possible chance. Isaac has been playing the guitar for 12 years. He loves classic rock and blues, taking inspiration from Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaghaun, and Hendrix. Sidney has been playing bass guitar for 7 years, and takes inspiration from funk and any groovy contemporary music.

Collectively, 5 Dollar Club strives to keep this project alive as long as they can. Like any enduring partnership, they hold two values above all else. The first is respect: respect for each other’s creative visions, respect for the audience, and respect for the local music community we’re all part of. They believe this fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. The second is to leave it all on the stage. We’re here to create electricity, and that happens best if everyone in the room can let themselves go and get lost in the magic of the music.
